EASTER 2009

This was our first Easter with it just being our little family. We had a good day, but it was weird not being with all of our family. We started the day by going to try a new church, but ended up getting lost and after 30 minutes of searching we gave up. So we decided to go to the park for Jett to hunt Easter eggs before it started raining. He enjoyed it this year and we had a good time watching him. Normally we are hunting eggs so it was a little sad that we had to be the adults this year but fun because we enjoyed watching Jett. After the egg hunt we went and had brunch together, then home for a family nap. We finished off the day watching Marley and Me.

Jenni comes to town

Jenni came to town and we had a really good time. We took Jett to this place where they make marbles. It is pretty cool to watch.

Here we went to this place that is a dinosaur restaurant called T-REX. Jett was in heaven. He said "This is the coolest place every"
Can you tell he is happy. I'm sure we will be making lots more visits.

swim lessons

Over Spring Break Jett took swim lessons. He did really good and loved every second of it. Swim lessons were every everyday for a week, which I thought would be good so he wouldn't forget anything. He was the youngest in his group and he did very good. Plus he looks so darn cute.

Jetts 4th Birthday Party

Jett had a wonderful birthday. He had a blast with all of his friends and family. We went to Pump it Up which is always a blast.

This is my FOUR year old.

This was my little baby!

Well today my baby is turning 4. I can hardly believe that four years have come and gone so fast. Ryan and I were talking about how it just seems like we were coming home from the hospital with him.

Jett tells me that he will always be my baby but he has to grow up. So I'm just so happy that I get to watch and be apart of him growing up.

You are so loving, caring, fun, smart and adventurous (which might be my favorite), and those are just a few things of what you have already shared with me. You have blessed me so much by getting to be your mommy and I love you more and more each day. I hope that this fourth year of your life with be so fun getting to start school and show people how great you really are. I hope that you will always love God and love your family. Happy birthday baby boy I fell so in love with you the first time I saw you and my love for you will never change, it will only grow. Have a wonderful year and always remember that you will be my baby.

trouble

Today Jett and I were leaving for the gym and he said that he wanted to get a snack from the vending machine at the gym. So I said well if you have money you can get something. He said I have money in my wallet in the car. So I said ok lets go. Well we get to the gym and he says "mom will you get my wallet". I said sure and I looked in it and NO money. Jett was not happy, he said "I bet dad took it I am so mad at him". I said well we will just have to wait and see when your dad gets home.

(just so everyone knows Ryan is not taking money from Jett. When it adds up Ryan takes it and puts it in a CD for Jett at the bank)

Well I figured he would forget about it by the time Ryan got home (not the case). I said your dad should be home in like 30 minutes. He said "Well when he gets home tell him that you love him and send him to my room that I need to talk to him". I was like ok will do.

So When Ryan got home I sent him to Jetts room and I followed him back there. When we got back there Jett said "Sorry mom we have to have a talk you have to wait outside". Jett makes Ryan sit down on the race car bed and comes over and shuts his door. Well I have to listen I know this is going to be good.

Jett says " What is the deal with you taking my money. The money that I put in my wallet is my money not yours to put in the bank. I wanted to get something today and I got in my wallet and all the money was gone. WHAT IS THE DEAL". Well I am outside laughing so hard and Ryan is trying to take him serious. So Ryan got to sit in time out and promise not to take money out of Jetts wallet anymore.

So funny.

snow day = fun day!!!!

Well all month I have been so excited about taking Jett to Ice Skating with Clifford the big Red Dog at Crown Center. So to make things even better when we woke up to go we looked out the window and snow was everywhere. It put a smile on all 3 of our faces. We couldn't wait to get all our snow stuff on and go enjoy the cold snowy day.

While ice skating We were all 3 holding hands and it was going pretty well. But Jett noticed that all the other kids didn't need any help, so he decided that he could do it all by himself and he refused for either one of us to help him. Well one time Jett started to fall so Ryan tried to catch him. BIG BIG MISTAKE. Jett turned around a said dad if you would just leave me alone I wouldn't fall so just leave me alone. He was furious!! It was so funny.

After skating we decided that we should go sledding. We found a big hill over by our apartment. We had a blast! Jett loves being a dare devil (which I love soooooooooo much). We had a great day, it was probably my favorite day in Kansas City so far.
